Ingredients:
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cups water
- Fresh coriander and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
- In a pot, sauté onions until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and spices.
- Add chicken and cook until it turns white. Add tomatoes and yogurt.
- Add rice and water, cover, and let it cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and mint before serving.
