Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional: dashi (for traditional flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Whisk eggs, sugar, and soy sauce (add dashi if using).
  2. In a lightly oiled pan, pour a thin layer. When almost set, roll to one side.
  3. Add more egg, lift roll so the new egg runs underneath. Roll again. Repeat.
  4. Slice and serve!

Cons: ❌ Rolling takes practice
❌ Needs a nonstick or rectangular pan for best results
