Ingredients (Serves 4–6):

  • Mascarpone cheese: 250g
  • Heavy cream: 200ml
  • Sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Matcha powder: 2 tbsp (culinary grade)
  • Hot water: 1/2 cup
  • Ladyfinger biscuits: 1 pack
  • Yuzu zest (or lemon if unavailable): 1 tsp
  • Vanilla extract: 1/2 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Whisk matcha with hot water until smooth. Let cool.
  2. Beat mascarpone, cream, sugar, and vanilla until thick and fluffy.
  3. Dip ladyfingers quickly into the matcha mixture and layer in a dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat with more soaked ladyfingers and top with the rest of the cream.
  5. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Dust with matcha and yuzu zest before serving.

Pros:

  • No baking required

Cons:

  • Matcha and yuzu may be hard to find
  • Needs chilling time before serving
