Ingredients (Makes 4 tostadas):

  • Corn tortillas: 4
  • Sushi-grade tuna or salmon: 200g, diced
  • Avocado: 1, diced
  • Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Rice vinegar: 1 tsp
  • Sesame oil: 1 tsp
  • Sriracha mayo: 3 tbsp (store-bought or homemade)
  • Scallions: 2, sliced
  • Sesame seeds: 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions:

  1. Fry or bake tortillas until crispy and golden.
  2. In a bowl, mix fish, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and scallions.
  3. Spread sriracha mayo on each tostada.
  4. Top with diced avocado and marinated fish.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and garnish with more scallions.

Pros:

  • Vibrant, crunchy, spicy, and fresh
  • Perfect as an appetizer or party snack
  • No special tools needed

Cons:

  • Requires fresh sushi-grade fish
  • Not ideal for make-ahead
